Remember, Honor, Teach
The Wreaths Across America event was held at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Saturday, December 12. Worship began at 12:00noon. After the worship service we placed wreaths on graves and offered individual prayers for the military person we were remembering and honoring.
This year we laid 9,100 wreaths, and over 2,000 youth participated. St. Paul's UCC youth group and adults, St. Daniel's Lutheran youth group, and Epler's UCC Cub Scout Pack & Boy Scout Troop 190 shared together in this event.
Through worshiping together, we seek to offer prayers for our military serving away from home over Christmas During, give support to their families who will be missing them over the holidays, remember those who gave their lives and honor their families, and pray for peace - pray for the day when no one will need to go to war.
The motto of Wreaths Across America is to Remember, Honor, and Teach.
