Walter W. Weller
June 9, 1923 -- July 6, 2010
Our brother in faith, Walter W. Weller, 87, of Wernersville, a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Robesonia, died July 6, 2010 of natural causes at his residence.
He is the husband of Anna M. (Hartranft) Weller.
Born in Fritztown, he was the son of the late Israel J. and Alice M. (Miller) Weller.
He was a 1941 graduate of Wilson High School. He served in the US Navy Submarine Service in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was employed at Wilson Products, Inc. for 20 years last position as Chief Engineer and was also a co-partner in a plastic injection molding company known as Proto-Cast, Inc. in Douglasville.
He was a member of St. Paul's UCC in Robesonia, where he served on Consistory for 14 years. He was a life member of the Robesonia Fire Company, and a life member of the Patriotic Order Sons of America.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Audrey L. wife of Thomas A. Balthaser, Perry County; a sister, Esther M. Moyer, Fritztown; two granddaughters, Kristin Stroup, Millerstown; and Theresa Yasevich, New Hampshire; a grandson, Mark Balthaser, Harrisburg, and 5 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Sherwood D. Weller in 1985
Services and burial will be private. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville is handling arrangements.
