Carole E. (Bean) Fake
August 30, 1942 -- December 30, 2016
Our sister in faith, Carole E. (Bean) Fake, 74, of Womelsdorf, a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Robesonia, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016, in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald "Ron" Quentin Fake with whom she married June 26, 1965, and who passed away on August 21, 2012.
Born in Coopersburg, PA, she was the daughter of Mildred (Miller) Bean and the late Howard Bean.
She is survived by two children David R. Fake, husband of Leigh Anne Fake, Seaford, DE; Pamela L. Szal, wife of Ryan Szal, Womelsdorf, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Linda L. Bean and brother, Howard Bean Jr.
She was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
Carole was employed by Pennside Presbyterian Church as a preschool teacher for 30 years.
Carole was a loving mother. She enjoyed cooking, teaching kids, spending time and holidays with friends and family. She was very active in her retirement in Florida for 14 years before returning to Pennsylvania to be with her family.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc.; 739 Penn Avenue; West Reading, PA 19611; 610-374-5440, with the Rev. Dr. Benjamin D. Motz of St. Paul's UCC in Robesonia officiating. The burial service will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
